A didática deste livro é fundamentada, tanto na teoria, como na prática, por décadas de experiência da autora como concertista e pedagoga. O livro destina-se a estudantes futuros professores e aos atuais professores de piano, que poderão utilizá-lo como ferramenta de avaliação de métodos de iniciação ao instrumento. Assim, foram elaborados cinquenta (50) critérios, que aplicados, tornarão compreensíveis a análise e as conclusões.Ao mesmo tempo, esses critérios fornecem um guia prático da pedagogia do ensino de piano ao professor para estruturar suas aulas, além de serem um modelo que também se encaixa no ensino de outros instrumentos. Sabemos que quanto mais clara é a idéia do conteúdo a ser trabalhado, mais direcionada, eficiente, divertida e espontânea a aula de instrumento poderá ser ministrada".
