The „YARA Borges“ CD, a Co-Production with Radio SRF 2 Kultur, brings a mix of the repertoire that Yara has been performing in Switzerland and other countries in Europe and Eastern Asia with fellow musicians João Bastos (flute), Rodrigo Botter Maio (sax), Gabriel Rivano (bandoneon) and Aldo Manhães Reis (drums & percussion). Such musical partnerships move between cheerful virtuosity, vibrant dialogues and deep poetry.
They are songs that deeply touch my childhood and adulthood memories, enhancing the innermost feeling of how much I miss Brazil.
This album also includes two works of the Argentinian masters Astor Piazzolla. His work reminds that this emotional and nostalgic ethos is strongly related to Latin American culture. Thus, that music has no boundaries, as it is an universal language, that unites musicians and listeners by the sensitivity of the aesthetic experience.

Ele traz uma mescla do repertório que, nos últimos anos, Yara tem interpretado na Suiça e em outros países da Europa e do leste Asiático, juntamente com os músicos João Bastos (flauta), Rodrigo Botter Maio (sax), Gabriel Rivano (bandoneon) und Aldo Manhães Reis (bateria & percussão). Tais parcerias musicais transitam entre alegre virtuosidade, diálogos vibrantes e profunda poesia.
São músicas que tocam profundamente as suas lembranças de infância, da idade adulta, fazendo-a voltar às suas origens e sentir imensa saudade do Brasil.

Die brasilianische Pianistin Yara Borges präsentiert auf ihrer CD „YARA Borges“, einer Koproduktion mit Radio SRF 2 Kultur, ein Repertoire, das sie in den letzten Jahren zusammen mit João Bastos (Flöte), Rodrigo Botter Maio (Sax), Gabriel Rivano (Bandoneon) und Aldo Manhães Reis (Perkussion) in der Schweiz, in anderen Ländern Europas sowie in Ostasien aufgeführt hat. Diese musikalischen Begegnungen bewegen sich zwischen fröhlicher Virtuosität, feurigem Dialog und tiefer Poesie.
Die brasilianischen Werke wecken bei Yara Borges Erinnerungen an ihre Kindheit und ihr Erwachsenenalter und drücken aus, wie sehr sie ihre Heimat vermisst. Zudem hat sie zwei für sie emotionale und nostalgische Stücke des Argentiniers Astor Piazzolla eingespielt.
